About Us

Glory! is a place for friendship.

There is no greater joy than the joy of Christian fellowship. Where else can a Christian have the greatest time of fellowship other than around God's people. We place a great emphasis on family and believe it to be an area to build upon with members of the church.

Glory! is a place for worship.

We come together and focus our attention on giving the glory to God through our worship and receiving His blessings upon our lives. These times spent in worship are times of inspirations and spiritual refreshment. We hope your experience is defined by that and we hope to see you join us.

Glory! is a place for service.

God's desire for our lives is that we serve Him with our lives; bringing praise and glory to His name. We will be having many ministries develope as we grow. We pay special attention to the bus ministry, children's church, and junior age ministries such as Patch the Pirate. These are the first of ministries developing here and they have a great potential for winnings souls. Along with that were hoping to see other ministries reaching those in jails, nursing homes, homeless, door knocking, street preaching and witnessing, military, etc. All of which have souls that are so greatly needing to be reached.

Glory! is a place for learning.

With regular service hour preaching, family devotionals, discipleship courses, and the vision for college, Glory Baptist Church is filled with the teaching of God's word. We believe God's word to be the source of our learning and spiritual leadership. We believe that studying God's word is vital to our Christain growth and faith in Him. At Glory Baptist Church we have learning for all ages.

Our Mission

Our mission at Glory Baptist Church is winning souls. We believe it to be the great commission that Christ commanded to all His disciples in Matthew 28:19-20.

If your not sure that you are on your way to heaven we would like you to know that God's word says you can "know".

I John 5:13 ... says you can "know".

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

The scripture indicates that knowing comes through believing on the name of the Son of God. According to this scripture believing is more than a head knowledge it is a belief that brings action to trust in or believing on the Son of God.

James 2:19 ... says the devils "believe".

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Mark 3:11 ... says the devils acknowledged who He is.

And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

Believing is receiving! Receiving is taking possession of Christ.

John 1:12 ... says when we believe on Him we are to receive Him.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Receiving Christ is taking Him into my heart and life. He becomes my Savior and my way of life, my Lord.

John 14:6 ... says He is the only way to God, the only truth of God, and the only life source of God.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God? If so will you put your trust in Him to save you from your sins?

Eternal life only comes through His name.

John 20:31 ... says that eternal life is through His name only.

But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Acts 4:12 ... says there is salvation in none other but Jesus.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Are you willing to repent of a sinful life?

Jesus commanded repentance.

Luke 13:3 ... says He commands repentance.

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Repentance is more than a sinner's prayer. Repentance reconizes sin for it's worth and need to turn from it. However, because of our sinful state we can not deliver ourselves from sin therefore we reconize what Christ did by His death on the cross. We see that He became sin for us and that He alone holds the power to deliver one from sin through forgiveness. Repentance agrees with God about sin and is willing to turn from them by putting one's faith in Christ alone to save them. Believing reconizes Christ as the only possible answer to the deliverance or forgiveness of sin.

Acts 20:21 ... Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

A person can not save themselves from sin no more than a person can save themselves from drowing in the middle of the ocean. Unless someone rescues them and pulls them to safety they will certainly die in that condition. Such is man's condition if he dies not having receieved the forgiveness and cleansing of sin. Such a person will die in their sin. Their sin will drown them.

This may sound like a foolish question but could a person refuse deliverance from a drowing situation? Or how about refusing to be pulled from a burning house? Such is the case with many who refuse to turn from sin and let Christ save them.

How about turning away a gift? It would seem foolish to have someone purchase a gift for a person and then they refuse it. That is the case with Christ since the bible declares Him the gift of God. He is that gift of God, eternal life, and many refuse to receive Him.

Roms 6:23 ... says sin has a wage of death spritually but Christ who paid for sin by His death is the gift of God.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Do you believe that Jesus loved you so much that He gave His life for you? Do you believe He is the Son of God crucified, buried, and risen again for the salvation of mankind?

If so will you be willing to turn from your sins and put your trust in the Savior to save you from your sins?

Again believing is receiving and if one says I believe the message of Christ then their belief will move them toward their trust and faith on Him as the Son of God.

Romans 10:9-13 ... says it is time to confess Christ into your life.

9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
[11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
[12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved

II Corinthians 6:2 ... For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time: behold, now is the day of salvation.

Will you trust in Jesus today? If so you can say this simple prayer?

Lord Jesus I confess that I am a sinner. Lord I reconize that I can of myself do nothing to save myself from them. Lord I believe you came and died for my sins and today I am willing to turn from my sins. Lord I'm asking you today to save me from my sin and I invite you into my heart and life. Wash me clean in thy blood. Help me Lord to live for you now. In Jesus name I pray, amen!

If you put your trust in Jesus, I would like to welcome you to the family of God. I would also like to encourage you to find a church home. The next step once we have decided to follow Christ is water baptism and church membership.

Let us know of your decission and if we can help you in any way. We can help you find a good bible believing church where you can get in and serve the Lord.

May the Lord bless you richly!

... unto the praise of His glory!
